The Olympus family of voice recorders is being joined by three new members in Europe. They are in the WS line and are the WS-760M, WS-750M and WS650S. Each model saves battery life with auto-recording functions. They do this by only capturing audio once it reaches the set threshold level. Users have the options of MP3, WAV, and WMA playback. All three models also contain a Low Cut Filter, which can help to cut out live recordings where there is lots of background noise. The mid-range of the human voice can also be accented using the Voice Filter setting.

The high end model of the three is the Olympus WS-760M. It contains an FM tuner and the ability to record FM. With 8GB of internal memory there is plenty of recording space, but even this can be increased via the microSD slot. The USB connection is built-in and also works as a charger for the device. It also works as a USB drive and you can access the files through the USB connection as well.It also has other features like a Virtual Zoom Microphone and Noise Cancellation.

The middle child of the family is the 4GB Olympus WS-750M. Ultra-high PCM (WAV) quality recording and playback is achieved and can also be stored on the expandable microSD card. It also has built-in USB and will also re-charge the internal battery when plugged into your PC or MAC.

The 2GB Olympus WS-650S is the littlest on in the family. It has an LCD screen, user friendly buttons and cable free transfer via the built-in USB. MP3 and WAV voice recording is also supported.
